BDCOM BSR3800 and BSR5800 seriesare the next-generation multiservice switching router platforms developed byBDCOM. The router platforms are of high performance by integrating a 64-bitmulti-core processor, a gigabit switching chip and FPGA into one solution.

BDCOM BSR3800 and BSR5800 serieshave many models such as BSR3800-61, BSR5800 and BSR5800-80. Each model is with4 gigabit ports, 1 USB2.0 port and 6 to 12 HIC/HIM expansion slots. Theysupport more than 10 kinds of expansion modules or interfaces such as Ethernet,E1, serial, 3G and FXS.

BDCOM BSR3800 and BSR5800 areequipped with the BDCOM-propriety operating system, BDROS, and provide richsoftware functions such as routing, switching, safety, VPN, voice and wirelessfunction, making themselves a real multiservice unified platform.

With their powerful processingability and expansibility, varied software functions and hardware modules,BDCOM BSR series can meet different networking requirements of government,financial institutions, arms, operators or enterprises.





Product Characteristics

High Performance

 BDCOM BSR3800 and BSR5800 series are driven by the 64-bit dual-coreprocessor with specialized gigabit ASIC switching chip and FPGA components,which enables the whole hardware platform to run on the high-speed Ethernetframe. The innovative design endows BSR with a super processing capability,providing a guarantee for upper-layer software functions.

Strong Expansibility

 With the switching core, BSR3800 and BSR5800 series can expand itsexternal interface, slot and module without subjecting to the total CPUresource. The switching chip provides sufficient internal channels ofhigh-bandwidth for the BSR equipment, so BSR3800 and BSR5800 series'expansibility has far surpassed that of the traditional modularized router.

Energy-Saving Advantage

 BSR3800 and BSR5800 series adopts the new-generation hardware chip inconsideration of energy saving while guaranteeing its strong processingcapacity. Compared with the mainstream devices in the industry, powerconsumption of the BSR router is reduced by 15% to 20%, which both reduces thedevice maintenance cost and accords with the low-carbon idea. BDCOM BSR3800 andBSR5800 series is also equipped with the environment friendly maglev mute fan.

Varied Protocols

 BSR3800 and BSR5800 series supports Layer 2 link protocols includingHDLC, PPP and dotlq; static routers; policy routers; and dynamic routers suchas RIP, OSPF, BGP, BEIGRP. These routing protocols are well compatible with thedevices manufactured by the mainstream vendors in the industry. Besides, BSR3800and BSR5800 series supports integration of multiple services such as routing,switching, voice, safety and wireless, which meets the requirement ofcomplicated network construction.

New Services

 BSR3800 and BSR5800 series supports the MPLS characteristics and theMPLS-based layer-2/layer-3 VPN technology, which realize the transparentEthernet transmission service and the flexible enterprise interconnection. BSR3800and BSR5800 series supports IPv6 data forwarding, routing protocols andmulticast routing protocols; BSR3800 and BSR5800 series also supports theIPv4/IPv6 protocol stack and the interconnection technology, which makes theexisting networks smoothly upgrade to IPv6.

Traffic Management Policy

 BSR3800and BSR5800 series supports varied queues including FIFO, PQ, CQ, CBWFQ, LLQ,WFQ, DSCP, IP Precedence and CAR.

 BSR3800 and BSR5800series support BDCOM self-developed traffic control and service managementpolicy (GBSC), which can better real-time arrange and monitor your data traffic.

Flexible Management and Maintenance

 BSR3800 and BSR5800 series is convenient in managing and monitoring thenetwork by using the in-band and out-band management tools such as Console,Telnet, SSH and SNMP; BSR3800 and BSR5800 series also support Chinese -Englishinterface.
